Beliefs:
As members of this Network, we believe:
- both boys and girls, young men and young women deserve all the resources and attention necessary to promote their academic achievement.
- boys and young men who represent diversity of race, color, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, religion, ancestry, and national origin should all be supported.
- the voices of boys and young men must inform and be included in our programs.
- this work needs to consider an understanding of boys' social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and physical needs.
- the work of supporting the academic success of boys needs to take place within familial, institutional, community and societal contexts.
- the expansion of traditional definitions of masculinity is necessary to fully support healthy male developme.
Network projects:
We seek to provide educational opportunities to young people, parents, educators and others through collaborative program development and shared information. We provide resources and organize events such as:
- Regional Dine and Discuss evenings
